Ohio Scholarship Deadline
The deadline for entry in the Evan & Pam Jones Student Scholarship for the 2020-2021 academic year is June 1st. The original deadline of April 1 was extended in response to schools closing during the coronavirus and the difficulty students would potentially have in getting transcripts. The scholarship application is available on the BMSA website under the Educational Resources tab. Full and part-time employees of BMSA Ohio member companies in good standing, as well as their dependents (spouse, child or grandchild), are eligible to apply. Employees must have been for employed for one year by January 1, 2020. Scholarship winners will be selected based on academic merit, personal achievements, community involvement and essay responses.
Scholarships of $1,000 per student will be awarded for the 2020-2021 school year. The scholarships may be used at any accredited college, university, technical or vocational school.

The Lester Group 's board of directors elected Jay Dickens as the company’s new president and CEO. Dickens joined The Lester Group in 2018 as president with 37 years of building products.
Prior to joining The Lester Group, Dickens served as vice president of American Direct, a provider of architectural doors, hardware, and integrated security solutions. The newly elected CEO and president also previously held executive positions with Rugby Building Products and Huttig Building Products.

Tal Sexton has been named manager of The Lester Group's New River Valley Building Supply, scheduled to open in May in Christiansburg, Va.
